2 Caebanc

A substantial, incredibly spacious residence — now sold

Caebanc is on the outskirts of the county town of Carmarthen, with far-reaching views of the Towy Valley. Both homes here have now been sold, including this substantial five-bedroom residence — a 21st-century home with firm foundations laid in the previous century.

History. Caebanc Mansion House was designed in the arts-and-crafts style by architects George Baines & Son of Westminster, with Richard & McLean as engineers, for Mr & Mrs Charles Hinds in 1938. The house, gardens and grounds were enjoyed as a family home until the property was purchased by the government in 1989, extended and converted to offices for the Crown Prosecution Service. Sancler 3 Ltd purchased the property and obtained planning consent to return the original house to a family home, together with the conversion of the larger part of the office extension into a second family home built in the same style as the original mansion house.

Summary of specification:

The property is approached at the end of a private roadway constructed to highway specification, with sizeable tarmac parking to the front and substantial grounds of around 14,186 ft² (1,318m²).
